When Allison Conrad (MBA, Stanford) spotted her first grey hair, she assumed there had to be a solution, something beyond acceptance or endless dye appointments. There wasn’t. So she started digging.
What she found: genetics may account for only part of why we go grey. Oxidative stress, nutrient depletion, and environmental exposure also play a significant role. Factors science could address. Nobody had.
Her longtime stylist and now co-founder, certified Trichologist (WTS, World Trichology Society), Jay Small had spent years hearing the same frustration in the chair. Why wasn’t there a way to treat hair the way the best skincare treats skin? At the root, over time, before visible change takes hold. Together, they set out to build what didn’t exist: the first anti-aging haircare brand.
Working with a team of leading medical advisors and scientists, they built the first and only solution clinically proven to reduce grey hairs,* powered by the patent-protected Mela-9® Complex and our proprietary Arey® Compound.
