We wanted you to be at the heart of our newest product so we decided to listen and learn from our customers before creating the deep hair conditioner you told us you were missing.

Why We Started With Your Voice

A customer query began our quest for the perfect deep hair conditioner – because customer-driven means listening to you. So when Jordan reached out to us on IG about finding the best conditioner for her coarse, unruly hair type, we decided the best solution was some focused face time with me.

How Arey Crowd-Sourced Our New Deep Hair Conditioner

As a customer-focused company, we know the best way to serve you – our community — is to ask what you want most in a new product. We listened carefully, gathered your feedback, and turned your needs into action. The result? A groundbreaking deep hair conditioner designed with you, for you.

 

 

Over the last year, I read through thousands of emails, reviews, and social media comments and personally spoke with hundreds of Arey customers. 

 

Here’s what my one-on-one customer consultations revealed: 

✅ You wanted targeted solutions for textured hair types. Many of you shared stories of strands that once felt silky now feeling coarse, frizz-prone, or fragile.

✅ You craved deep nourishment without heaviness. Some silicone-based conditioners left your hair greasy or weighed down, when what you really wanted was feather-light hydration.

✅ You asked for clean, safe ingredients. Harsh chemicals, parabens, and synthetic fragrances were non-negotiables for many of you — you wanted plant-powered care you can trust.

✅ You longed for fast results. Who has 20 minutes to hang around with a hair mask on? You wanted a deep hair conditioner that only takes a few minutes to deliver a lasting improvement in strength, shine, and manageability.

Talking to Arey users with coarse, dry or textured hair, I learned that sometimes our daily moisturizing conditioner Smooth just isn’t enough to deliver smooth, manageable hair. 

I love our Shower Duo shampoo and conditioner set – Wash and Smooth – because they are the perfect balanced cleanser and conditioner for all hair types. But, some hair types can need a little more moisture than a regular conditioner can provide – and that’s where Masque steps in.

 

 

Armed with your feedback and guided by scientific research, our formulation team went to work. Our goal was to design a unique fast-acting, lightweight, deeply hydrating conditioning treatment for dry, coarse, chemically-treated or textured hair.

💧Aging and greying hair types: grey hair is naturally coarser, dryer and harder to style.

Here are some of the hero ingredients you’ll find in Masque deep hair conditioner:

✅ Shea butter: deeply moisturizing and smoothing, shea butter locks moisture into each strand, sealing and smoothing your hair cuticle (outer layer).

✅ Apricot kernel oil: rich in fatty acids and vitamins A and E, apricot kernel oil protects and hydrates your hair to help reduce frizz and the appearance of breakage.

✅ Sunflower seed extract: lighter than olive or argan oils, sunflower seed extract provides weightless hydration and protection from oxidative stress (cellular damage).

✅ Silagel (Silicone Alternative): a lightweight, clean, alternative to silicone that boosts shine and seals in moisture with a breathable barrier without causing buildup.

✅ Clean ingredients: Masque is free from sulfates, pthalates, synthetic fragrances, polyethylene glycol, formaldehyde, and dyes. It’s also vegan and cruelty-free.
