WHAT IS IT?

 

Wait A Sec® refreshes hair between washes and adds volume. Ultra-fine powders absorb oil on contact, lift roots, and add soft, touchable texture with no white residue. Because it’s propellant-free, you get pure formula. Most aerosols are ~90% propellant and only ~10% active powder. That’s why we can include our dehydrated Mela-9® Complex, which releases antioxidant-rich actives that awaken with your next wash for a pigment-preserving boost—minus any buildup. Dermatologist-tested and hypoallergenic.

Heads up: Although it includes Mela-9® Complex, Wait A Sec won’t reduce or repigment greys on its own—it’s a booster. For visible pigment support, pair with Not Today, Grey, our daily supplement, plus a topical treatment like To The Root® or Wash, and use consistently.

HOW TO USE

 

1. Shake well.
2. Apply to dry hair and scalp in sections, holding the bottle 4–8" away.

    Best dry shampoo, esp for blondes

    This is really the only powder based dry shampoo I've found that truly works for the long term. All other ones i've tried, and i've tried about 100 of them, works for 1-2 months and then just stop. This one really works consistently and also adds volume. It does make your hair not soft so you can't really run your fingers through it after but at least it keeps it not greasy

    Great dry shampoo

    ... and I've used a *lot* of different brands! I really love this, love how it adds some volume, makes it look like I definitely just showered, and best of all doesn't have a scent so I don't walk around perfume-y like other brands make me smell. Nice to think it's helping my hair color, too :-).

Benzene is a cancer-causing chemical that attacks the immune-defending antibodies in your blood. It also damages your hair over time. It’s not just your health that suffers from inhaling benzene. The environment is being damaged too, aerosol propellants damage our planet's ozone layer.

Wait A Sec® has a subtle tint so that it blends invisibly with any hair color. Puff the powder onto the areas that need it, wait a second for it to do its degreasing magic, and then use your hand or a brush to work it through your hair.

You can use Wait A Sec® dry shampoo any time your hair needs a quick refresh.

Styling tips for getting optimal results from our dry shampoo:

  • Apply to the roots of dry hair in sections, hold the bottle about 1-2 inches from your head.
  • Wait for a couple of seconds to give Wait A Sec® a chance to absorb the oil by your roots. Finally, brush or comb it through.
  • Use Wait A Sec® at night — let your hair absorb while you sleep and you'll wake up with fresh tresses in the morning.
  • A little goes a long way, add more later if you need it.

Yes, Wait A Sec® contains our signature, 100% natural scent, non-synthetic fragrance, of cedar and sage. It's a subtle, unisex scent that keeps your hair smelling fresh between washes.

A little goes a long way! Larger, aerosol dry shampoo bottles are made up of 70-90% propellant. Wait A Sec® is aerosol free, meaning we can contain its active ingredients in a smaller vessel. Plus, our high velocity pump allows for precise, even distribution. We’ve measured and estimate that each bottle contains about 500 pumps.
